MAGNETOSTATIC

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This page explains what information magnetostatic.com collects when you visit, and the choices you have. The short version: very little.

1. Who runs this site

magnetostatic.com is a free, open source build guide for DIY planar magnetic loudspeakers, written and run by M. A. Gallardo as a personal project.

Contact: info@magnetostatic.com

2. Information I collect

Information you send me. If you write to me, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write. I only use it to reply.

Information collected automatically. The services that deliver the site record basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited and time of visit. This keeps the site running and secure.

The site has no accounts, comments, forms or newsletter. The trace calculator runs in your browser; the numbers you type are not sent to me.

3. Cookies and analytics

Analytics. I use Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, which pages are read and how visitors find the guide. I do not use it to identify individual visitors. Learn how Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Ads. This site does not show ads.

Cloudflare may also set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors from bots.

4. Your choices

5. Third parties

  • Cloudflare, which hosts, delivers and protects the site and processes technical data such as IP addresses. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics, as described above.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the site’s fonts. Your browser downloads them from Google’s servers, which shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s privacy policy.

I do not sell, rent or share personal information for marketing.

6. How long I keep information

  • Messages: up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Google Analytics: event data is kept for 2 months, as set in Google Analytics.
  • Technical logs: short term, under Cloudflare’s own policies.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask me what personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it, delete it or send you a copy. You can also object to its use and withdraw consent at any time. If a privacy law applies where you live, such as the GDPR in the EU and UK or the CCPA in California, you keep all the rights it gives you, including complaining to your data protection authority. I do not sell personal information. I reply within 30 days.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EU), and I do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has written to me, let me know and I will delete it.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
